Salary for Senior Nursery Nurse-salary up to £31,500 per annum
Salary for Room Leader- up to £32,000 per annum

Hours:
- 40 hours over 4/5 days or 41.5 hours over 5 days.
- Either 4 long days, 40 hours a week or 41.5 hours a week based on 3 full days, 7.30am to 6.30m and 2 half days, 7.30am to 1.15pm/ 12.45pm to 6.30pm
Role and Duties:
Supporting the Third in Charge in overseeing daily operations, ensuring high-quality care (EYFS aligned), mentoring staff, managing room, handling safeguarding.
Core Responsibilities:

- Leadership & Support: Mentoring, training, and supervising nursery practitioners, ensuring motivation and high standards.
- Operations & Management: Assisting with daily running, ensuring policies & procedures are followed, and taking charge when senior management is away.
- Childcare & Education: Overseeing implementation of the EYFS curriculum, observing/assessing children, and ensuring stimulating environments.
- Health, Safety & Safeguarding: Maintaining a safe space, upholding policies, and acting as a key point for safeguarding issues.
- Partnership: Building strong relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals.
Typical Duties:

- Staff Supervision: Guiding and supervising the team within your room
- Curriculum Delivery: Planning and leading activities that promote learning and development.
- Key Person Role: Acting as a dedicated Key Person for a group of children, offering individual attention.
- Admin: Ensuring paperwork and documentation (observations, assessments) are completed well.
In essence, you will bridge the gap between management and staff, ensuring seamless, high-quality childcare delivery and professional development within the setting, often combining management duties with hands-on room leadership.

relationships with families and children. - Working as part of a team to plan and deliver learning experiences that are fun,
challenging and enable children to reach their full potential. - Taking all necessary steps to ensure the well-being and safety of all children.
The Candidate:
- Hold, a recognised Level 3 or above Early Years Qualification.
- Minimum of 2 year’s experience within a nursery setting.
- Must have a positive attitude to work, and have a real love of working with children.
- Own transport is highly recommended.
