Senior Nursery Nurse, Harrow

We are currently recruiting for a small independent private day nursery located in Harrow, north west London. (close to Pinner, North Harrow, Hatch End, Harrow Weald)

We are looking for an experienced senior nursery nurse ready to take on the responsibility to lead a room

• Full Time Permanent role
• 40 hours a week, 8-6 4 days a week plus 1 half day
• Salary up to £31,000 per annum
• Must be qualified to a minimum L3 in Childcare Education

This is a room based management role responsible for the day-to-day leadership within a team and being a positive role model of good practice.

You need to be minimum L3 qualified in Early Years to make sure that the children under your care develop and learn in a safe and supportive environment.You will need to have a minimum of 1 year's experience in a similar role either a Senior Nursery Nurse, Nursery Room Leader or Nursery Room Manager where you have provided effective line management to a small team.

You will have a proven track record in mentoring a small team and managing issues with children, parents and staff as they arise.You will need to be committed to helping children thrive and get the best start in life.

You will need a warm and positive approach, lots of creative ideas and a willingness to work as part of a team.

• You will need a good standard of general education, including English and Maths GCSE's
• Full working knowledge of the EYFS framework
• Able to follow Health and Safety procedures and policies
• Understanding of Safe guarding within a nursery setting
• Able to motivate, delegate and lead.
• Effectively lead by example
• Must have a clear DBS certificate
• Have a paediatric first aid certificate or willing to complete course
• Safeguarding certificate or willing to complete course
