Nursery Nurse, Level 3, Barnes

We are looking for a Nursery Nurse who is qualified Level 3 and above to join a medium sized private day nursery in Barnes, SW London The nursery is easily commutable from Clapham Junction, Hammersmith, Richmond.

The nursery is a very popular and friendly family run setting with a fantastic reputation for providing excellent childcare.

The main duties will include:

• Leading focus activities to maximise each child’s daily experience.
• Recording observations of the children's development.
• Contributing to the planning of suitable learning and development activities.
• Feeding/supporting children at meal and snack times and cleaning children and the dining room afterwards.
• Changing nappies (when required) and assisting with toileting and hygiene requirements.
• Ensuring the safeguarding of all children by being constantly aware of potential risks and hazards and promoting safe practices.

• Excellent time keeping and sickness record.
• To be aware of the high profile of the nursery and to consistently uphold their standards.
• A genuine desire to work with children.
• To be a strong team member, working closely with other colleagues at all times for the benefit of the children.
• To be involved in out-of-hours activities, eg staff training, fundraising events etc.
• Flexibility, being prepared to help where necessary, including the undertaking of domestic duties, eg preparing snacks, sanitising equipment, cleaning messy play areas etc.
• To be aware of the nursery's policies and procedures and adhere to them at all times.

Other desirable qualities are:

• A sound knowledge of the EYFS.
• Experience of dealing with babies and toddlers.
• The ability to work comfortably across the range of age groups across the setting.
• A relevant early years childcare qualification, eg NVQ,  CACHE Level 3.

SALARY IS £29,000 to £32,000 based on 4 days and £35,000 to £37,000 based on 5 days.

The position starts in January, but interviewing now.

Contract- 4 days, 8am to 6pm, 1 hour lunch, 36 hours a week

OR

5 days, 8am to 6pm, 1 hour lunch, 45 hours a week

Continued CPD offered, training in safe guarding, Paediatric first aid, FGM, British values, prevent duty.
