Description

We are currently recruiting for a dynamic, passionate and experienced nursery Manager in Orpington.

Essential qualities include:

  •           Experience of working within the childcare/education sector with a minimum of 5 years management experience
  •           Proven track record of developing a team, leading staff and engaging with, inspiring and motivating others;
  •            Strong organisational and leadership skills;
  •           Passionate, self-driven and positive attitude;
  •          Strong project management skills and the ability to network across the company to get things done;
  •         Results-oriented, able to work independently, to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment;
  •       Aware of OFSTED and other legislative compliance
  • Proven track record of achieving 'GOOD' consistently in Ofsted inspections

Responsibilities:

  •  Direct management of nursery staff
  • Oversee systems for accurate reporting, monitoring, and assessment of nursery activities.
  • Manage occupancy levels and financial budgets to meet targets and ensure smooth operations.
  • Lead the delivery of the EYFS curriculum and ensure it is effectively implemented across all age groups.
  • Liaise with external professionals when necessary to support the development and needs of children.
  • Be highly knowledgeable with SEND and have a passion in ensuring equality and diversity in implemented.
  • Work closely with the SENDCo to support children with additional needs.
  • Ensure the nursery follows a robust and safe recruitment process.
  • Manage weekly staff rotas and attendance registers for both staff and children.
  • Uphold and enforce the nursery's policies and procedures, ensuring a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment.
  • Monitor and promote the physical health and well-being of all children in the nursery.

Education:

The right candidate must  have L3 or above in childcare and education

Further qualifications in leadership/management or similar qualification are desirable

The role is unique and requires a talented individual with a broad skill set.

Contract terms are 40 hours a week, full time, permanent role.
